Any business, any family, and any individual needs to take inventory. What then constitutes an inventory for Muslims?
First and foremost obviously is the question of iman: Am I practicing tauhid with carefulness and completeness. Am I associating any partners with God? How am I worshipping my own low desires and letting my ego be my God? How much of my behavior is directed towards making other people pay attention to me or think better of me or like me? Is there anything that I am putting ahead of God in my priorities? Am I clear that my whole existence and all my good deeds are a result of the mercy of Allah and not my own cleverness or goodness?
A second question, to me is how am I treating my parents. Quran 17 23-24.
